Jeff & Bethany

Evening is one of the best time to take pictures because of the great light. It is also one of the best times to get bit by mosquitoes, especially in the woods near a stream. Next time I'm wearing pants and bringing bug spray. Live and learn. Also I might mention that the next day there was a story on the news about an outbreak of west nile virus in this area. Anyway on to Jeff and Bethany...one of the great, seemingly impossible, love stories of our time.

Snow Cones!

"Nothing beats the heats like a sweet summer treat!"

Camping at Jeff"s Place

Have you ever ridden an AVT so long that before you even reached your destination you were sick of the thing? Well, I can now say that I have. Several times over. This campground is out in the middle of nowhere on a ranch that my brother-in-law manages. It takes about 20 minutes to drive in from the highway but it feels like several hours. The property is beautiful and I would have really enjoyed it if I didn't hate camping so much...."Pass me that dirty ketchup. Yeah! This is living!"

the cabin right by the campsight

it's old, but at least it has a sturdy foundation...
it was really nice of the previous owners to
leave behind some refreshment for us
need to see a man about a horse?
You're in luck...
the sweet bridge that Brandon and Greg built
another cabin out in the middle of nowhere. We nearly died on our way here - twice - once when the ATV almost flipped (with the whole family on it btw) and once when Greg was nearly impaled by a giant elk that leaped into the road in front of us.
another outhouse...I'm think about making a coffee table book or something
view of the valley

at sunrise - thanks Doug for waking me up so early. He also hates camping.

The Swather that Greg Burnt

Way to go babe!
