"Shoe-Choo"

Recently Doug has begun a love affair with trains or "shoe-choos" as he likes to call them. Last Saturday we went with Grandma to the Carson City Train Museum and here are some pictures from the trip. The last picture is one I took in the parking lot as we were leaving. After 3 hours of sheer bliss Doug came to the sad realization that he had not in fact died and gone to heaven. Seriously though if you've ever wondered what it looks like when a 2-year-old's brain goes into "overload" just check out the pictures below.

Little Cow Girl

So, like I said before, the pictures from May didn't turn out, but here are the retakes plus a few bonus pictures of Doug eating a cookie and Ethan with his "cowboy"

May Pics

We went up to the ranch once again this year to help with the hay harvest. While I was there I decided to take some 6 month old pictures of Natty-cakes. I had portraits of the boys taken every 3 months their first year and have decided to up hold it as a tradition. Natty had some great cow-girl clothes but unfortunately being the dope that I am, I forgot to change the camera setting when I switched lenses (amazingly enough baby puke and tears can be pretty distracting when it's your own kid) so most of those pictures have some blurring around the hands and therefore are deemed sub-par and can not be hung on my walls. Anyway I retook the cow-girl pictures last time we where there (about a week ago) and they turned out quite nice if I do say so myself, but these are the pictures from May.

why is Doug such a stink-pot? I'm sure he gets it from his dad because it
certainly doesn't come from me. I am always a delight.

4th of July

The kids and I spent the 4th at a family reunion with my Mother's family, in St. George. Well, at least the kids did. Leslie, Jeff, Jared and I left the house at 6:00am to go and hike Angel's Landing in Zion's National Park and it was totally worth it. Unfortunately I got lost on the way and we ended up driving all the way through the park before I realized we'd gone too far. Fortunately on the way back we got an awesome parking spot. Here are some pictures from the adventure.
