Waiting

Sadly for my kids the fireworks were delayed for about an hour this year due to wind.  9:45 was already pushing it so as you can imagine 10:45 was way too late.  Natalie saw the first 2 minutes and Doug wouldn't even wake up enough to open his eyes.  Jimmy dropped out about halfway through.  Maybe next year we'll fare better.  At least the 2 older ones got to see a few fireworks at the Rodeo...

Spider-Doug

Spider-Doug, Spider-Doug, doing the things a Spider-Doug does...Can he swing from a web?  No he can't he's a Doug.  Lookout! Here comes Spider-Doug.  We sure have gotten more use out of this costume than I ever expected.  Looks like I'll have to buy a new one for Lane.  We weren't early enough to get the free burger; turns out on the first 50 got one and there are an awful lot of weirdos in the Reno area.  (Who knew?)  He got some fries and a Spiderman ring so all-in-all not a bad day to be Spider-Doug.  If only he had put some shoes on....but as he promptly told me, "Spiderman doesn't wear shoes, Mom!"  Duh

Fishing, Horses, and Swimming

 We had a quick stop in at the ranch for a few hours earlier this month.  Luckily for the kids their older cousins were there and they got to do pretty much everything fun that a kid could ever ask for.  Grandma even had some fresh baked cookies in the kitchen so yeah, it was pretty much the best day ever.  (As long as you can forget the 6v hours in the car.)

 FYI: no Ellen isn't a weirdo who swims fully dressed.  She fell in while vacuuming the pool.  First time in 12 years.

 

Happy Father's Day

I know it's a week late, but I didn't want to post this one before Father's Day because that's what Greg got.  Then I got really busy this week shopping for houses and all that life stuff.  I saw this idea on pinterest and since Bethany (Jeff's wife) bought the letters and brought them over...yeah, I put a lot of work in Father's day....
