Happy Halloween

Here's a couple of shots of the kids costumes. Natty is a ballerina of course, but no the bandage isn't part of her costume. She burned her hand pretty bad of the wood stove and then the blisters popped. It's healing very well so if it wasn't for the pictures there wouldn't be any proof we ever let her get that close to a fire... Greg and I made the Thomas costume out of old boxes, glue, caulk (if you can believe it), craft foam, and a lot of paint. It was pretty popular and all the little kids wanted to see and touch it. Poor Doug...he's not a people person and it was pretty traumatic. He had to leave the church party because all the attention made him trow-up. No joke. All in all I guess you could say my kids love Halloween, dressing-up and having there pictures taken. Okay, you're right, Natalie loves it.

Nature Walk

Last weekend we went up to the Lyman ranch. Well actually the full name is the Lyman Alder-grove Ranch, at least I think it is. Anyway I went for a walk and took some pictures. Normally I don't photograph nature and scenery, but I thought I'd give it a try. These are some of my favorite shots.

Beef-master

Ethan, Efan, Eef, Eef-beef, BEEF-MASTER. And that's how the greatest nickname ever was born. Sydney came down with the boys yesterday and we went to the park to take some pictures. As you can see Ethan liked it okay, but Ty clearly did not. (However I think we sneeked in a few frames while he wasn't screaming in protest.) Here are a few of my favorites.

akward pose. Not quite the pose of brotherly love I envisioned.
Apparently Ty does not like to have his personal space violated.

Caught up in the Moment

No, you don't need to get your eyes checked, this is an actual authentic picture of Doug and Natalie playing together. Many of you never thought you'd see the day, well here it is. Actually it only lasted for about 5 minutes and has yet to repeat itself. I suppose they just just got caught up it the magic of mini-basketballs. Also a small note about the kiddie pool - I do change the water - it's not filthy, just full of sand from the sandbox.
