Baby Perry

Recently I decided that I could really use more experience shooting newborns and since everyone I know is pregnant I thought, why not?  This little girl was about 3 weeks old so she was a little harder to work with, but fortunately I have a few tricks up my sleeve.  I especially love how the above photo turned out and the one where she sticking out her tongue.  Jimmy does that sometimes and I love it.  

   

Beautiful Tree

 "Look, Mom, it's the most beautiful tree ever!  We made it just for you.  Does it make you happy or sad?"  

Well played, son, well played.

Special thanks to Grandma for providing the silly string and to Dad, who let them spray it all over the tree.  And also to me, the person who will be stuck cleaning it up.

Fireworks

Unlike my kids I was able to stay up for the big show and since I had my new camera with me I went to town.  Unfortunately I left the tripod at home so I wasn't able to get the shot I was really going for.  Next year....

  

  

  

  

  

  

  

Waiting

Sadly for my kids the fireworks were delayed for about an hour this year due to wind.  9:45 was already pushing it so as you can imagine 10:45 was way too late.  Natalie saw the first 2 minutes and Doug wouldn't even wake up enough to open his eyes.  Jimmy dropped out about halfway through.  Maybe next year we'll fare better.  At least the 2 older ones got to see a few fireworks at the Rodeo...
