1520 Miles Day 1

We left a few days early for Jeff's wedding to take a little family trip 1520 miles later we're back home. Was it the best vacation ever? Probably. Mind you my expectations are pretty low.

Day 1 - Cathedral Gorge
"C
athedral Gorge is located in a long, narrow valley where erosion has carved dramatic and unique patterns in the soft bentonite clay. Trails abound for exploring the cave-like formations and cathedral-like spires. Miller Point, a scenic overlook just north of the park entrance on U.S. 93, offers excellent views of the scenic canyon. Shaded picnic areas and a tree-shaded campground area are open all year."

What a strange place this was. Just out there in the middle of nowhere Nevada. We were passing that way and Jeff tipped off on where to stop. At the time I thought hey, this good practice for the Grand Canyon. How naive.
