Science Rules

A few weeks before the science fair Doug saw an episode of the the Aquabats Super Show that was all about - you guessed it, science.  That really wet his appetite to do a science project and after giving him several choices he chose to test how much water diapers will hold, or in his words which diaper will be the winner.  Although I must admit he was a little bit wary about what the fruits of his labors would be...

"Well, if I do this will I get a ribbon?"
"Yes."
"What color will it be?"
"I think it will be white."
"I only want a blue one."

Competitive much?  Glad he had a good experience and got a blue ribbon, but just in case he didn't Grandma sent one to slip him.  Someday we'll let him live in the real world but for now he gets the kids fantasy treatment.

Top 10 Things

I learned in 2012 (that were caught on camera):

10: Even happy babies hate grass.

9: No matter how bad they mess up the nativity, kids in costume are priceless.

8. Natalie is the girliest of girls.

7: Doug was born knowing how to work the camera. 

6: Sometimes brothers are the best.

5: Babies with GERD are really good at planking 

4: My kids favorite past time - - mud hole.  Guess that makes us some kind of rednecks.

3. Though you might not have guessed it, Spider-Doug likes to party.  Anytime, anyplace.

2012 - Well it's been another year.

About a week ago I decided I wanted to post a top 10 pictures from the year....well as it turns out I'm pretty easy to please because I liked a lot more than 10.  So this is what you get instead: 2012, a year in review, with  photos. (I know, pretty exciting.)

Doug turned 5, Jimmy turned 1, and Natalie turned 4 (and I made her an awesome cake).  Greg and I got older too, but we are far less fun to look at.

They all had birthday pictures taken too...

Natalie started preschool and Doug started Kindergarten:

There were 3 babies added to the extended family this year:

We bought a new house (try not to be too jealous of our luscious lawn):

Natalie finally finished potty-training and earned her Dora house (yea!).  Note: if you've spoken to her on the phone even one time in the last 8 months you already knew this.

Jimmy not only learned how to crawl and walk, but more importantly how to climb things so that's super-fun.

and of course we had a ton of fun with the fam at the ranch:

Of course we did lots of other stuff too....but there isn't any pictures of it so basically it never happened.
