Baseball

I defy you to find a 6-year-old who loves baseball more than my Doug.  I admit I didn't see that one coming.  The season ended a few weeks ago and it looks like I'll have to start looking for a fall league because he's not even mildly interested in trying another sport.  Anyhow I spent the season taking pictures on the kids and made a collage for each of them.  It was a win-win because I didn't have to sit around bored on the bleachers all season and kids love looking at themselves especially if they are doing something cool.  On a side note, a lot of kids bite their tongue when they are concentrating.  Seems weird to me.  The following is my favorite pic from the season and believe me I took about 3000 shots.

Easter

So I guess I have Nacho Libre to thank for forever ruining all of my Easters.  Every time I hear the word "easter" I think, "There is no flavor, where are the chips?  Do you not know that I have had diarrhea since Easters!?"  And there it is folks.  The bathroom humor at last.  It took a few years but we all knew it would get here eventually.

Easter has definitely been the high note of our spring and I would also like to point out that the purple dress Natalie is wearing in some of the pictures was made by yours truly.  Only took me just over a decade to complete.  Yep, I've got some made seamstress skills over here.  This dress actually took so long to make that few steps were jut winged because the instructions no longer exist.  Well they do exist, somewhere, just not here.

After church we had an egg hunt at grandma's and I know some will disagree but I think my nieces look just like their dads.  And that concludes what is officially my longest post of all time.

PLAY BALL!!

"Well Mom, baseball is just my sport."
Doug recently started his first season of baseball with more gusto than the rest of his team combined.  Seriously I've never seen a kid like t-ball so much...maybe he should have been a cheerleader.  He had some trouble at first because; "Well, do you think I can be on the Giants and still be a Cubs fan?"  After we worked through that moral dilemma it's all been one big party.  Guess will be back again next spring.
Anyhow they had their team pictures on Saturday and Doug is notoriously for looking off into one corner (and he was biting his lips).  I only bought 1 5x7, but I had instant buyers remorse when the thought popped into my head; "Hey dummy, you have a camera."

SNOW!

All winter I've been waiting for a snow storm.  I've been working on getting some landscape pictures for my living room - - 1 set for each season but it doesn't look like winter pictures are happening this year.  Anyhow last Thursday there was a snowstorm up in the mountains, so I loaded up the kids and some sleds to try our luck.  Nat and Doug had a great time but Jimmy didn't care much for snow.  (Also his lame mom forgot to get him some mittens).  The forecast said scattered showers in the a.m. so we went up in the afternoon and it was still snowing.  Even though I took a few pictures I'm not in love with them - - probably because the sky was so gray.  I like the one with a break in the clouds but it seems a bit dramatic for a giant blown up print in my living room.  Maybe I'll have better luck next year.  Guess we finally have a good reason Can't wait to visit relatives in Oregon and Idaho.
