2nd Happiest Place on Earth?

It's moments like this that make all the effort, money, and driving worth it. I'm just glad we were able to catch it on film. Even though our kids are young, I guess they just knew this wasn't the happiest place on earth. At least Greg gave the trip 2 thumbs up, after all he's the one that was jonesing to go to Thomas Town...

Bring Your Own Bones. If your low on phosphorus then I have have some good news for you - all you need is a little bone meal - - even better, you can make your own. Just collect some bones, bake until smoking, then smash into meal-sized pieces and your ready to apply it to the garden. Fun times. The best part is the fabulous smell - just like singed hair.

So here are some of Doug's birthday pictures. There's quiet a few but it's so rare that Doug will look at the camera (or in the general direction of the camera) and smile all a the same time that I couldn't control myself. Why the baseball? He's not really a fan, but we had them in the yard, and they made him happy-ish, and he is a boy after all. Plus he thinks that any sport involving a ball is 'baseball" including (but not limited to) golf and soccer.

Natty Pants

The other day Natalie was really putting on a show for the camera and I thought the pictures turned out pretty cute. Usually my kids hate having their pictures taken, but maybe she saw her reflection in a spoon and thought "hmm...I am incredibly incredibly good looking....I wonder if I could do that for a career." Hope she does it again sometime.
