A Christmas Miracle

This year it only took 2 sittings (and some ice cream) to get my kids to smile for their pictures. A true Christmas miracle. Simply pulling out the fancy clothes or setting up the backdrop starts the flow of waterworks. Good thing we only needed one good picture and good thing I have the added convenience of using my own home because JcPenny studio employees don't feed the kids ice cream between shots - I highly recommend it. Christmas Pictures

Every year I put up a backdrop and wrap some empty boxes for Christmas pictures then I invite everyone over to come get some free pictures for their Christmas cards. This is the first year that more than 2 families showed up. I'd like to thank facebook for that. I don't usually take indoor pictures because I like the look of outdoor ones much better, so this was great practice and I learned a lot namely that I can't get most kids to smile - that's mom's job anyway right? I suppose the really good high-dollar professionals do better. Anyway, Merry Christmas from some super cute kids who are very excited for the big day and thanks to Greg for the backdrop and lighting equipment he gave me for my birthday that made this year's Christmas portraits such a huge success (and yes that is a personal assessment). Maybe next year, Alicia, you and the kids will be around for the big event? We haven't seen you in Nevada for a while.

Brooke, Bridal Shoot

What good sports these two are because this was the coldest day ever. Maybe not, but it was super cold. The memory makes my hand hurt. At least I had long sleeves on. I really like the twirly dress picture. Like I said, I think it might be my new thing.

Jeffany: Bridal Shoot

What can I say? The weather was nice, the leaves were all colors of the rainbow, and Jeff came along - because he still had the rented tux. Oh and there was about a billion people at the park, taking pictures. The last one is my favorite. I think having the bride twirl for some pictures might be my new thing.
