Wedding 3

So another cloudless day (in the bay of all places) and if you discount the 6.5 hours it took to get there everything went smoothly.  Okay so here's what happened.  We were in the car making greatg time and as soon as we got past Sacramento we hit major traffic.  Major.  So I thought oh it must be a wreck.  Soon as we pass it it will be smooth sailing again.  Turns out it wasn't a wreck it was many caused by a high speed car chase.  Yep, that really happened.  You can read all about it here.  Anyway we got stuck right int he middle and then had to take surface streets (most of which were closed, especially near the freeway) and then go around.  It was crazy.  They had to move the sealing back an hour and then they waited an extra 20 min because not everyone was there yet.

It's always fun to shoot at a new location, but I'll admit that by the time I finished editing these there was a huge sigh of relief.   I wonder how the pros do it; sometimes two or even three wedding in a weekend.  So. much. editing.

 

Wedding 2

So...this is the second wedding.  It was a beautiful day.  Not a cloud in the sky.  Not one.  And no shade to be had anywhere at the time of day they had their pictures taken.  I'll admit I had low expectations for these but so many turned out so great it's almost enough to make me wish I was young, thin, and photogenic again.  Yeah, you're right.  That really doesn't have anything to do with the pictures.

Wedding 1

So in the last few weeks I've shot 4 weddings...who have thought?  I usually only do 1 or 2 per/year and I'm still deciding whether I like it or not.  I think the answer is I will like it a lot more when I get my new camera with amazing capabilities that far outstrip the current one.  Don't get me wrong the rebel is a good camera and works great under ideal conditions...it's just those conditions don;t always exist.  Anyway I decided to go ahead and post some of my favorite pics from each wedding so that you can all shower me with compliments about how good they are and talented I am.  Don't worry though - I have pictures of my own cuties to post once I catch up and there would be pictures of your kids too and lets face it that's what you're really interested in seeing so bring them over a shoot sometime.

About Time

 I figured it was about time that I got around to posting Easter pictures, which I took this year for the first time ever.  Around here Easter Sunday gets pretty crazy what with all the candy and stuff, but I did remember to to get the kids in the front yard for a few shots in their Sunday best.  Unfortunately it was after church so for Natalie that means at least one hour of rubbing her head on the floor, bench, teacher, and other random people and for baby James that puking all over his clothes.  Fortunately for them they are still pretty little and also pretty cute because you know what they say; "the older they get, the cuter they ain't."
